I had the pleasure of flying with a great crew to Doha, so I invited them to do an evening boat tour with me.
Our layover hotel was near the Doha Corniche, a waterfront promenade constructed from a landfill. Boat cruises are very common here, as there are multiple daily tours for tourists to explore the city. The modern skyline overlooking the promenade is a visual treat, and you can capture some stunning pictures, especially at night.

The ideal times are dawn or dusk to check out the Corniche Doha, as the sunrise and sunset views are worth capturing on camera.
We went there when it was dark but could still capture beautiful pictures. The weather was in June about 110 degrees with 78% humidity, so we could only last a few hours outside. My advice if you're going to do the evening boat tour is to only do it for 30 minutes, you'll still be able to capture good pictures.
